@ the story of a netlife @
Everything began in the fall of 1994 in a south-western town of  Romania.
A curious boy, called Claudiu, logged in the strange and fascinating universe of Linux for the very first time.
At that moment in time, the Internet was the subject of sf movies like "The Net". At the beginning there was only e-mail access and a login name: claudiu.
In the spring of 1995, a camp for computers and Internet and a cool song: "Max don't have sex with your Ex" were the genetic material for the birth of max@. And from than on, @ became a part of his life.

Max´s Love Life

When the time was right, Max´s Love Life appeared - love@. This was the first step to international and multicultural friendships over the Net - love taught max to express feelings in email.
At the end of 1995 max becomes root@lt2rcs.sorostm.ro, this was his first domain. Now he turned to be the master of the universe who had created him.
Spring 1996, two wonderful things happened to max:
1. he felt in love
2. lt2rcs went online. It was a dream come true - first seeing:
lt2rcs:/# ftp sunsite.unc.edu
Connecting to sunsite.unc.edu...
no more limitations, not only email, but everything, web, ftp, telnet, gopher, ytalk, irc...
So max decided to try to be a hacker. And he succeeded!:)
The hacking stuff, lasted for about one year, when suddenly the possibilities to study science on the Net grew more and more important. New hobbies are added besides hacking and computers. Fractals, physics, chaos theory, black holes, time travel, UFO's, cellular automata...

When the student is ready, the master will appear...

Max´s new hobbies and a little twist of faith gathered in the summer of 1996, and brought him in contact with the people from CSC. Here starts the adventure of the summer school "Fractal" in Vãliug. It lasted for 3 years: 1996, 1997, 1998 (but it's not over, yet!:).
Everything he'd found interesting on the Net, everything that changed his life, is to be found in these pages. So...
...enjoy it!
